The Fairy collection was inspired by the 1920 British flower fairies these spirites are real children posed as fairies aand elves amongst the wild flowers of thier country. The wings are botanically those of the actual butterflies who feed on the wild flowers shown and other similar flowers.
The costumes and accessories are imaginary. 35 works are planned for the first collection - all the sitters posed are by the personal invitation of the artist and are not prosfessional models.
In addition to the original miniature, painted on ivorine and individually framed, the artist prepares limited edition greeting cards by arrangment with the purchaser.
